Antonio – known to his friends and clients as Chef Antonio – lives in San Francisco, where he does deliveries, participates in research studies and does personal chef work. He describes the tumultuous time he’s had in the city, starting by moving into a nice townhouse in SoMA (South of Market) with his ex-, followed by their breakup and Antonio’s 2-month period of being homeless, without even a car, couchsurfing at first but then eventually sleeping on the beach and in other less picturesque locations. He eventually saved enough to go in on a 1-bedroom share in the Tenderloin neighborhood (which is known for both its homelessness and its crime) with two other guys. He talks about being content and grateful for the work and life he now has after that very difficult stretch living on the streets. He also talks about his plans beyond living in SF, likely outside the country.
Ugh! San Francisco is pure evil and anyone contemplating a move there should think twice!
Have you/do you live in SF, Joey?
